In the Beginning
Today Chuck Munson, President, has been a commercial appraiser in the Seattle area for over thirty years. He is a member of the Appraisal Institute and Past President of the Seattle Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
CJM Experience and Specialization CJM appraisers are either designated, Associate or Affiliate members of the Appraisal Institute. Designated members have met rigorous requirements relating to education, testing, experience and demonstration of knowledge, understanding and ability. Appraisers holding the MAI designation are leaders in valuation and evaluation of commercial, industrial and residential properties. Our Mission Statement CJM will provide reliable, well-reasoned answers to real estate valuation questions. Whether estimating value or weighing project feasibility, we will be neither conservative nor liberal in our conclusions, but will accurately reflect market behavior and expectations, dependably guiding decision makers relying on our investigative reporting, financial evaluations, and market analyses. |

Carl J. (Chuck) Munson, MAI, formed the appraisal company C.J. Munson & Associates, Inc., in Bellevue, Washington, in 1988. A name change to CJM Investment Property Advisors in 1998 was intended to better reflect the company’s collegial nature, with several senior appraisers nearing completion of requirements for the MAI designation. 
Joe Harris, one of CJM's senior appraisers, received the MAI designation in 2004 and has subsequently been approved by all major CJM clients.
